Hello, I’m Paul, I’m a Londoner who moved to Cumbria in 1998. It’s good to visit friends and family back in the city, but I love living here for the calm, the landscapes and the everyday connection to nature and the seasons.

I’ve spent a good deal of time in the hospitality industry, worked as a photographer and as a rugby coach and also owning and running an art gallery here in the Lakes. Cumbria has some fantastic experiences to offer and I’d be delighted to point your way to making the most of your visit here, whether it be walking, exploring, adventuring or eating and drinking.

The Hawkshead and Ambleside area is particularly well served by some great cafes, restaurants and pubs all sourcing much of their product locally. You’ll find that the relaxed atmosphere and setting at Green End House will help you slow down and appreciate the simple beauty in nature – well, it works for me!
